Job Description:

The Assistant Teacher supports the lead teacher in delivering lessons, managing classroom activities, and assisting students with homework and understanding concepts. The role also involves classroom preparation, student supervision, and communication with parents regarding attendance and academic progress.

Key Responsibilities:

• Arrive early to prepare for class and stay until all students have left and tasks are complete.

• Assist students during class, ensure they stay on task, and help weaker students individually if needed.

• Maintain class notes and ensure students receive any missed work.

• Complete homework and be prepared to answer questions from students.

• Track attendance, notify parents of absences or missed materials.

• Mark student work, including True/False or multiple-choice assignments, and return results to the teacher promptly.

• Find replacement if absent and notify the office in cases of sudden illness.
