Assistant Store Manager

Description:

Bath & Body Works, a leading retail brand recognized for its fragrances and exceptional customer experience, is seeking a highly motivated Retail Assistant Store Manager to join the team at Square One Shopping Centre, Mississauga. This role offers an excellent opportunity to partner with the Store Manager to develop associates, drive sales, enhance customer experience, and deliver consistent operational results.

As an Assistant Store Manager, you will play a vital role in attracting, hiring, developing, inspiring, and retaining top talent while creating a positive and customer-focused environment. You will oversee leadership responsibilities, act as the manager on duty when required, set daily operational goals, manage sales floor coverage, and implement strategies to optimize business outcomes. This role involves active engagement with customers, product demonstrations, and personalized recommendations, ensuring every interaction reflects the Bath & Body Works brand values.

Key Responsibilities:

• Hire, develop, coach, and retain top-performing associates.

• Lead and execute store operations, including opening/closing routines, bank deposits, and shipment receipt.

• Implement visual merchandising and floorset direction to optimize product presentation.

• Provide continuous feedback and coaching to associates to improve performance and customer experience.

• Ensure compliance with all safety standards, policies, and operational procedures.

• Meet payroll targets and manage sales floor coverage effectively.

• Foster a culture of selling excellence and customer engagement.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma, GED, or relevant work experience.

• Prior retail management experience preferred.

• Strong leadership, coaching, and communication skills.

• Ability to adapt in a fast-paced, customer-first environment.

• Availability to work varied shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.

• Physical capability to lift 10 lbs consistently and up to 50 lbs occasionally; ability to stand, walk, bend, and climb ladders as needed.
