Description:

Starbucks, the globally recognized leader in premium coffee retail and community building, is hiring an Assistant Store Manager for its Milton, Ontario location. This is an exciting opportunity for individuals with a passion for leadership, customer experience, and community engagement.

As an Assistant Store Manager, you’ll embark on a leadership journey designed to nurture your supervisory, coaching, business, and operational skills. You’ll be directly involved in managing the operations of a multi-million-dollar business, guiding your team to excellence, and creating a store environment that reflects the Starbucks mission and values.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead day-to-day store operations while supporting and mentoring team members

  • Develop your skills in business acumen, sales strategy, and customer engagement

  • Grow and coach a strong team through hands-on mentorship, feedback, and talent development

  • Create a welcoming, inclusive environment for both customers and partners (employees)

  • Foster a culture that promotes quality, service, and consistency

  • Act as a brand ambassador and community leader

  • Drive sales performance through strategic problem-solving and operational excellence


Learning & Development:

  • Participate in a comprehensive training journey that includes online learning, classroom training, and real-time mentorship

  • Gain exposure to store management fundamentals, including staffing, inventory, customer relations, and financials

  • Build a foundation for advancement into higher leadership roles within Starbucks


Qualifications & Requirements:

  • Minimum of 2 years experience in retail or customer service management

  • Strong organizational, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills

  • Entrepreneurial spirit and sales-driven mindset

  • Minimum education: High School Diploma or GED

  • Must have legal documentation to work in Canada

  • Ability to work full-time, including early mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays (regularly 40+ hours/week)
