Assistant Branch Manager

Description:

Site One Landscape Supply is the leading national distributor of landscaping and outdoor supply products in the United States and Canada, supporting green industry professionals through an extensive inventory that includes irrigation, lighting, turf and maintenance, hardscapes, nursery, and pest control solutions.

The Assistant Branch Manager II plays a critical leadership role in supporting the Branch Manager in achieving operational excellence. This includes inventory control, team development, customer service, and financial growth. The role emphasizes leadership, strategic implementation, and fostering a customer-first culture.

Key Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with the Branch Manager to recruit, coach, and mentor branch associates, encouraging team development and career advancement.

• Create a positive, team-oriented environment in alignment with SiteOne's DNA.

• Train staff in customer service best practices to ensure consistent client satisfaction.

• Promote a culture of safety and incident prevention, reinforcing safety practices daily.

• Oversee daily operations, track performance metrics, and support goal-setting strategies.

• Adapt to evolving technologies and operational strategies, contributing to innovation and efficiency.

• May involve direct supervision of staff and handling complex customer interactions.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• 3–5 years of relevant experience in the landscaping, irrigation, or nursery industry preferred.

• 3–5 years of team leadership or managerial experience, including issue resolution and motivation.

• Exceptional customer service, leadership, and communication skills.

• Familiarity with sales and operations planning, accounting basics, and market trends.

• Proactive approach to growing sales and enhancing customer engagement.

• Strong adaptability to new technologies and work models.

• High School diploma or equivalent required; post-secondary education preferred.
