Description:
Key Responsibilities: 1. Program Development & Delivery • Create and teach dynamic art classes (painting, sculpture, zine making, digital media, textiles, etc.) using accessible materials. • Purchase supplies, equipment, and snacks for classes. • Adapt lessons for varying skill levels. • Ensure accessibility through adaptive tools, and trauma-informed practices. • Foster inclusivity with safe environments and diverse representation in curriculum. 2. Community Engagement • Outreach to community partners and organizations, including social media updates and communicating with participants about upcoming classes. • Organize a final showcase celebrating youth work and community diversity. 3. Qualifications: • Education/Experience: Diploma/Degree in Art Education, Fine Arts, or equivalent experience. Minimum 2 years teaching youth. • Skills: Proficiency in multiple art forms, resourcefulness in rural settings, and strong interpersonal skills. • Applicants under consideration will be required to clear a Vulnerable Sector Check.
