Architectural Technologist

WM Fares Architects, a leading architectural firm specializing in multi-unit residential design, is seeking a talented and detail-oriented Architectural Technologist to join their dynamic team.

This role requires expertise in architectural drafting, with a primary focus on multi-unit residential projects. Proficiency in Revit is essential, as the majority of projects are executed using this software. The successful candidate will collaborate closely with the design and project teams to translate conceptual designs into precise and accurate architectural plans.

Key Responsibilities:

✅ Collaborate with architects and designers to create detailed architectural drawings for multi-unit residential projects, primarily using Revit.
✅ Develop construction documents, plans, elevations, sections, and details that comply with industry standards and project requirements.
✅ Assist in producing schematic design and design development drawings as needed.
✅ Maintain and update project documentation to reflect design changes, client feedback, and regulatory requirements.
✅ Coordinate with project managers to ensure timely completion of drafting tasks and project milestones.
✅ Participate in project meetings to discuss design intent, progress, and drafting challenges.
✅ Stay updated on industry trends, architectural drafting advancements, and Revit software updates.

Required Qualifications:

🎓 Education: Diploma in Architectural Technology or a related field (preferred).
📈 Experience:

• Proven experience in architectural drafting, particularly with multi-unit residential projects.
• Strong proficiency in Autodesk Revit (candidates with Revit certifications will be prioritized).
• Familiarity with other design software such as AutoCAD, SketchUp, and Adobe Creative Suite is a plus.
• Solid understanding of building codes, construction techniques, and architectural standards.
• Strong attention to detail with the ability to produce accurate and precise drawings.
• Effective communication and collaboration skills in a team environment.
• Strong time management skills to handle multiple projects and meet deadlines.
