Description:

• Must have extensive experience and detailed understanding of IP Routing, TCP/IP, Multicast, WAN protocols.

• Must have excellent knowledge and extensive hands-on experience with routing protocols such as BGP/OSPF/RIP and Trunking/VLANs, IPv6, MPLS.

• Expert knowledge of Cisco IOS and Hardware, understanding of virtualization trends.

• Subject matter expert knowledge of the DOCSIS /2.0/3.0, DOCSIS 3.1 and Packet Cable1.5/2.0 specifications. DOCSIS 3.0 and 3.1 proven hands-on experience.

• Excellent knowledge of PON technologies.

• Must have strong command of all MSOffice applications, including Visio and Project, use of collaboration tools.

• Familiar with cable plants and capacity management

• Proven hands-on networking skills and ability to communicate with experienced engineering peers.

• Strong organizational, communication (verbal and written) and problem-solving skills. Ability to assess impact of decisions.

• Must be detail oriented with excellent analytical and technical documentation skills.

• Expert planning and troubleshooting skills.

• Expert knowledge of DNS, DHCP, IP Provisioning, IPv4 and IPv6 Address Management;

• Advanced knowledge of NAT, X.509 PKI, access lists, prefix lists, firewall configuration techniques and other security methods and best practices;

• Advanced knowledge of VoIP/PacketCable/SIP protocols and related QoS techniques;

• Practical hands-on experience with Unix/Linux operating system;

• Working knowledge of Unix Shell and/or Python scripting, familiarity with Ansible and other automation tools.

• Demonstrated project management experience.

• Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to establish and maintain good working relationships with others.

• Experienced in effectively coordinating and executing multiple tasks simultaneously and efficiently while working with conflicting priorities in a fast-paced environment.

• Self-motivated with the ability to take initiative in identifying and resolving problems independently. Monitors own work for quality.
