Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement the month-end process which includes the bank reconciliations, balance sheet analysis, P&L analysis.

  • Prepare monthly account analysis for capital expenditures and work in progress balances.

  • Responsible for the preparation of monthly accruals.

  • Decision support in analyzing the monthly results.

  • Develop and perform testing of the integration between the new billing system and the financial system.

  • Actively monitor functioning of systems, identify inefficiencies and recommend adjustments.

  • Prepare analysis to support complex journal entries in compliance with IFRS 15 and IFRS 16

  • Responsible for the development and implementation of an effective and efficient system of internal controls (C-198) in compliance with accounting standards as well as ensuring optimization of the financial processes.

  • Develop financial analysis related to ad hoc projects (capitalized wages, etc).

Academic Requirements

  • Bachelor degree in finance, accounting or related field

  • Certified Professional Accounting designation or equivalent an asset

EXPERIENCE

  • 5 + years of experience in a similar accounting role
