Ornge, Ontario’s renowned provider of air ambulance and critical care transport services, is seeking a dedicated Aircraft Maintenance Engineer (AME) to join its dynamic maintenance team in Toronto, Ontario. This position offers an excellent opportunity for aviation professionals to contribute to life-saving operations across the province. As an Aircraft Maintenance Engineer, you will perform maintenance, inspection, repair, and modification of aircraft systems in compliance with Transport Canada and company regulations. You will ensure aircraft safety, serviceability, and operational readiness for Ornge’s fleet while collaborating closely with other maintenance staff and operational teams.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform airframe inspections, powerplant installations, modifications, and repairs in accordance with company and Transport Canada standards.

  • Ensure all maintenance work complies with safety regulations, technical manuals, and quality assurance policies.

  • Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and structural aircraft issues.

  • Maintain accurate documentation and logs for maintenance activities.

  • Participate in process improvement initiatives within the maintenance department.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to enhance operational efficiency and safety.

  • Adhere to Ornge’s health, safety, and environmental standards.

  • Work within scheduled rotations, including weekends and holidays, in a 24/7 operational environment.

Skills and Qualifications:

  • Valid Transport Canada M1 and/or M2 Aircraft Maintenance Engineer License (mandatory).

  • Experience working on AW139 or PC12 aircraft is an asset.

  • Valid driver’s license and eligibility to work in Canada.

  • Strong problem-solving, communication, and interpersonal skills.

  • Ability to handle multiple priorities with minimal supervision.

  • Proficient with Microsoft Word, Excel, and email applications.

  • Possession of a valid Canadian passport and ability to travel to the U.S.A.

  • Must be eligible for a Restricted Area Identity Card (RAIC) under Transport Canada regulations.

Hours of Work:

  • Rotating day shift schedule: 5 days on / 4 days off / 4 days on / 5 days off.

  • May include weekends, holidays, and occasional overtime.

Compensation and Benefits:

  • Annual Salary: CAD 72,837.66 – 90,183.82 (approx. CAD 6,069 – 7,515 monthly).
