Agri-commercial Underwriter

Position Overview and Responsibilities Provide underwriting expertise and guidance to Agents and Brokers

• Perform all areas of Agri-Commercial policies, including quotations, issue of new policies, renewals, and endorsements
• Decision making utilizing the company rate manual
• Quality assurance to ensure policies are going out in a timely manner and ensuring the risk meets the company’s risk tolerance
• Provide timely response to agent and customer inquiries
• Provide assistance to other underwriters when necessary

Education and Experience

• Related experience in Farm or Commercial underwriting
• Detail oriented with high level of accuracy
• Excellent computer skills
• Organize and prioritize work effectively
• CIP designation or working towards it
• Ability to maintain confidentiality in relation to business operations
