Description:
As an Engineering Manager for Agentic AI Solutions, you will lead a feature team responsible for building and delivering production-grade Agentic AI solutions across C&P's core value chain. You will drive technical excellence, foster innovation, and ensure successful delivery of AI capabilities that enable productivity and growth across Demand Generation, Deal Execution, Opportunity to Cash, Adapt to Consume, Customer Success Management, and Cross Enablement. Your role combines technical leadership and people management to deliver our Agentic AI ambitions.
Key Responsibilities
- Team Leadership & Development: Build, mentor, and grow a high-performing engineering team, fostering a culture of innovation, collaboration, and continuous improvement. Conduct regular 1:1s, performance reviews, and career development planning.
- Technical Delivery Management: Oversee end-to-end delivery of Agentic AI solutions, ensuring alignment with architecture standards, quality benchmarks, and business objectives. Drive sprint planning, backlog prioritization, and release management across multiple workstreams.
- Architecture & Technical Excellence: Partner with architects and technical leads to define technical strategy, establish coding standards, and ensure scalable, maintainable solutions. Champion best practices in AI agent design, SAP
- Agentic AI implementation, and multi-agent orchestration.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Facilitate effective collaboration between engineering, UX, QA, data teams, and business stakeholders to ensure successful delivery. Act as primary liaison with product management, architecture, and leadership teams.
- Resource & Capacity Planning: Manage team capacity, skill development, and resource allocation across multiple concurrent initiatives. Identify staffing needs and participate in hiring processes to build team capabilities.
- Operational Excellence: Establish and monitor engineering metrics, implement CI/CD practices, drive automation, and continuously improve development processes. Ensure robust testing, documentation, and knowledge sharing practices.
- Stakeholder Management: Communicate delivery status, risks, and dependencies to senior leadership. Manage expectations and negotiate priorities across competing demands while maintaining team focus and morale.
- Innovation & Continuous Improvement: Foster experimentation with emerging AI technologies, identify opportunities for process optimization, and drive adoption of industry best practices within the team.
What You Bring
- Bachelor degree in Computer Science or a similar field
- Engineering Leadership Experience: 12+ years of software engineering experience with 5+ years in engineering management, leading feature teams. Proven track record of delivering complex, enterprise-scale solutions.
- Agentic AI & Enterprise AI Expertise: Strong understanding of agentic AI architectures, multi-agent systems, LLM integration, and AI solution patterns. Experience with enterprise AI platforms and frameworks (SAP BTP, cloud platforms, or similar).
- Technical Foundation: Solid software engineering background with hands-on experience in modern development stacks (e.g., Python, TypeScript, Node.js, React). Ability to review code, provide technical guidance, and make architectural decisions.
- Agile Delivery Management: Deep expertise in Agile/Scrum methodologies, with proven ability to manage complex backlogs, sprint planning, and delivery timelines. Experience with JIRA, Azure DevOps, or similar tools.
- People Management Skills: Demonstrated success in recruiting, mentoring, and developing engineering talent. Strong coaching abilities with focus on career growth, performance management, and building high-trust team environments.
- Stakeholder & Communication Skills: Excellent communication and presentation skills with ability to translate technical concepts for non-technical audiences. Experience managing expectations across multiple stakeholder groups.
- Problem-Solving & Decision-Making: Strategic thinking with ability to balance technical debt, innovation, and delivery commitments. Experience navigating ambiguity and making data-driven decisions under pressure.
- Enterprise Software Experience: Familiarity with SAP systems, enterprise integration patterns, and large-scale software delivery in global organizations. Experience working with distributed teams across multiple locations is a plus.
- Language Skills: Fluent in English (written and spoken); additional languages are a plus.
