Description:
The position will report to the Manager of Policy and Planning.
Primary Accountabilities
- Assesses business and service delivery practices, identifying areas for improvement. Analyses the impact of new or revised legislation, policies, procedures on processes and workflow structures for the delivery of programs and makes recommendations to the management team.
- Manages projects using established project management processes and procedures. Coordinates and prepares documentation, communications, agendas, reports, workplans, project charters as well as process maps to support the completion of tasks and deliverables.
- Leads teams of staff in the development, design, delivery and implementation of projects and services across the province while accounting for implications to operations and cost benefit analysis for the implementation of service delivery initiatives.
- Oversees the data collection and evaluation which enables the development of performance monitoring frameworks, and tools ensuring adherence to legislation, and departmental and divisional policies and priorities. Provides recommendations for system improvements.
- Leads the preparation of business requirements or workflow processes for AED funded programs. Provides an analysis of current state, best practices, along with recommendations for process improvement.
- Is responsible for the operationalization of an evaluation framework and the development of an accountability framework to ensure the continuous improvement of the NSSAL system
Qualifications and Experience
As an ideal candidate, you have experience participating in, and often leading, various projects using project management techniques. You are a dynamic and experienced facilitator, who is able to work with groups of all sizes to develop strategic initiatives and solutions to complex challenges. You have a Bachelors’ degree plus five years related experience, or an equivalent combination of training and experience.
You have experience in both quantitative and qualitative research and evaluation frameworks, as well as system analysis to ensure continuous improvement. You also have the ability to synthesize large amounts of information.
