Advisory Services Director

Description:

Blueprint is seeking a highly skilled Director, Advisory Services to join their team. As a senior leader, you will shape and deliver high-impact solutions for public sector and nonprofit clients, utilizing your expertise in public policy to tackle complex challenges and improve outcomes. This leadership role requires significant experience in public sector advisory, a strong understanding of public systems, and the ability to guide interdisciplinary teams to deliver rigorous, evidence-based solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

• Business Development:

  • Lead the full lifecycle of business development, including identifying opportunities, proposal writing, project delivery, and oversight.

• Engagement Delivery:

  • Manage interdisciplinary teams to deliver high-quality advisory engagements in policy analysis, program review, service design, implementation support, and performance evaluation.

• Client Account Management:

  • Cultivate and manage a portfolio of client relationships, ensuring high-quality execution and identifying opportunities for ongoing engagement.

• Network Building:

  • Develop and maintain an extensive network of sector relationships to stay informed on trends and opportunities.

• Sector Strategy & Thought Leadership:

  • Use policy expertise to shape Blueprint’s strategy in key sectors and contribute insights, publications, and frameworks to advance sector understanding.

• Delivery Excellence:

  • Provide leadership and quality assurance to ensure the success of client engagements and delivery of outcomes.

• Team Leadership:

  • Lead, mentor, and support the development of cross-functional teams, ensuring a collaborative and high-performance environment.

Qualifications:

• 10–15+ years of experience in public sector advisory services, with a deep understanding of public policy areas such as employment and training, housing, community safety, justice, or human services.

• Master’s degree or equivalent in Business, Economics, Political Science, Public Policy and Administration, or Social Services.

• Entrepreneurial mindset with proven success in growing relationships, securing opportunities, and managing engagements.

• Strong analytical and strategic thinking, with a data-driven approach to decision-making and solutions design.

• Exceptional leadership and stakeholder management experience, with a track record of leading cross-functional teams.

• Highly developed client relationship management and network-building skills.
