Raymond James Ltd., Canada’s leading independent investment dealer, is offering a 36-month Advisor Internship Program (AIP) designed for experienced financial professionals aiming to build a long-term career as Financial Advisors. This program is not a short-term co-op or internship—it is a structured career development pathway where participants join as Financial Advisors and work to establish and grow their own book of business while receiving in-depth training, mentorship, and support.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide holistic financial and investment advice to clients, addressing wealth management needs.

• Build and maintain strong relationships with high-net-worth individuals and families using multiple prospecting methods, including outbound calls, networking, seminars/webinars, social media, and marketing campaigns.

• Develop and manage a personal book of business with an annual growth target of $8–10 million in assets under administration during each of the three program years.

• Conduct needs-based financial assessments and recommend suitable products, strategies, and solutions.

• Deliver presentations, webinars, and other communications to clients and prospects.

• Service existing clients with professionalism while focusing on expanding the client base.

• Fulfill CIRO continuing education requirements and successfully complete Raymond James AIP training programs.

Skills & Qualifications:

• University degree in business, finance, economics, or equivalent professional experience.

• Minimum 3 years of experience in financial services, full-service brokerage, or commission sales.

• Registered (or eligible to register) with CIRO in province of residence.

• Successful completion of Canadian Securities Course (CSC) within the last 3 years.

• Successful completion of Conduct and Practices Handbook Course (CPH) within the last 2 years (or upon employment with a CIRO-regulated firm).

• Strong sales, entrepreneurial, and client prospecting skills.

• Excellent interpersonal, relationship-building, and presentation abilities.

• Strong organizational and time management skills, able to manage multiple client priorities.

• Comfortable working in a commissioned environment with asset targets.

• Additional assets: CFP designation, completion of IIROC Licensing Training Program.
