Description:
ACEF de l’Est de Montréal is a community organization dedicated to defending consumer rights and assisting with personal finances. The organization is seeking a Reception and Administrative Agent who will be the vital first contact for visitors, calls, and emails, providing accurate, empathetic, and efficient service.
The role is central to the organization’s mission, offering quick, complete, and precise responses to inquiries related to consumer rights, debt management, and personal finances. The position involves directing people to appropriate services either within ACEF or through external referrals.
Reception and Orientation:
Greet the public and direct them to appropriate services
Provide clear information and advice on consumer rights, debt solutions, and financial management
Information and Advice:
Respond to inquiries via phone, email, or in-person
Inform clients about consumer rights, debt collection, and financial issues related to ACEF’s services
Communication Management:
Handle and redistribute phone calls and emails effectively
Planning and Logistics:
Organize appointments and manage workshop logistics
Coordinate the annual tax clinic
Negotiation Assistance:
Support clients in financial difficulties to negotiate payment agreements with Hydro-Québec
Administrative Management:
Manage mail, publication sales, inventory, and compile organizational data
Send letters of support, sign petitions, and participate in advocacy activities on behalf of ACEF

Work schedule: 4 days/week (Monday to Thursday), 30 hours/week
Competitive salary starting at $28.15/hour, subject to experience and collective agreement
