Administrative Assistant

 

Description:

A renowned law firm is looking for an Administrative Assistant with a background in administration or legal studies to work in litigation. The candidate will be responsible for a range of administrative tasks, providing support to legal teams and ensuring smooth office operations.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Correcting, formatting, following up, and archiving legal files

  • Drafting legal documents from templates

  • Transcribing summaries, procedures, and instructions using a dictaphone

  • Managing and maintaining the calendar of lawyers, ensuring deadlines are respected

  • Time entry management

  • Substituting for the receptionist during their leave, along with colleagues

  • Providing excellent customer service to clients

  • Performing other administrative tasks as required


Requirements:

  • Completed DEP, DEC, or AEC in administration or legal studies

  • Recent graduate or experience in administrative/legal assistant roles

  • Excellent written and oral French skills

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook)

  • Autonomous, organized, and detail-oriented

  • Experience with dictaphone (a plus)


Language Requirements (English):

  • Proficiency Level: Good

  • Reason for Language Requirement: To answer the phone, transfer calls, and take messages

  • Frequency of Use: Regularly
