Administrative Assistant

 

Description:

Pittman Asphalt, part of the Terus Construction Ltd. group, is seeking a seasonal Administrative Assistant for its Prince George operations. Terus Construction Ltd. is a leader in the construction industry in British Columbia. This position reports to the Office Manager.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Answering phones and greeting people who come through the office.
  • Receipting or receiving materials and supplies ordered by PO and non-PO invoices.
  • Record the delivery of materials to construction jobs, pit to pit transfers and FOB asphalt and gravel sales.
  • Requisition materials and supplies
  • Ensuring hired truck tickets, timecards and equipment pre-trip checklists are collected daily for processing
  • Filing and sorting of truck tickets and time and reconciling with the differing work sites.
  • Other general office duties

Skills/Experience

  • Excellent computer skills with a strong knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel
  • Excellent organization skills
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Post-secondary courses in office administration, accounting/finance preferred
  • 2-3 years’ experience in office administration preferred
