Description:
As the Scheduling Coordinator, you will be responsible for the following:
- Coordinate with care homes, patients, and the Mobile Eyes Optometry team to schedule eye clinics and special visits
- Contact patients and family members to get approval for appointments and billing information
- Manage referrals that we send out to specialists, and referrals from other healthcare professionals to Mobile Eyes Optometry
- Input new patient forms into our electronic system and update patient information and medical records
- Answer phone calls and respond to emails

This position requires working with a team of professionals that have an interest in providing the best eye care to patients who would normally not be able to access otherwise. - You have excellent documentation, organizational, interpersonal and communication skills
- You have good knowledge of Microsoft Office, Excel, and Outlook
- You are able to multi-task and prioritize work
- You are able to handle last minute changes to your work and are a good problem solver
- You have good customer service skills and are able to handle and communicate effectively with challenging clients
- You are able to work independently as part of a larger team
- You have the ability to maintain confidential information and strong attention to safeguard company computer systems while using them
Other Qualifications
- You have a bachelor's degree
- You have at least one year of experience in customer service and/or in an administrative role
- Prior experience working in a medical office is an asset but not required
