Position Summary:

As an Accounts Receivable and Payable Specialist, you will play a vital role in the finance department, handling the full accounts payable cycle, customer invoice follow-ups, cash receipts, and general month-end accounting functions. The position reports directly to the Cash Supervisor and requires collaboration with both domestic and international staff, vendors, and clients.

Key Responsibilities:

• Match, code, input, and file accounts payable invoices.

• Process cheque runs, issue payments, and resolve vendor concerns.

• Contact customers daily to follow up on outstanding receivables.

• Post received payments into the ERP system and reconcile against invoices.

• Update invoices and documents through various customer portals.

• Maintain accurate and up-to-date customer master files.

• Generate A/R reports and update relevant spreadsheets.

• Perform diverse month-end accounting activities.

• Execute additional tasks as assigned.

Required Qualifications:

• Post-secondary diploma in Accounting or Business.

• At least 2 years of accounting experience.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially intermediate Excel skills.

• Familiarity with JDE ERP is a strong asset.

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

• Strong attention to detail and time management abilities.

• Demonstrated customer service orientation and problem-solving skills.

Work Environment:

• Office setting with 100% of time spent sitting, walking, or standing.

• Frequent use of hands for typing and reaching.
