Accountant

Description:

This is a full-time, on-site role for an Accountant Controller located in Thunder Bay, Ontario Canada. The Accountant/Controller will oversee financial reporting, develop and maintain budgets, manage taxation and compliance requirements, and ensure accurate bookkeeping. The role also includes preparing financial statements, conducting financial analysis, monitoring cash flow, and supporting audits while ensuring adherence to all relevant regulations and company policies. Additionally, the position involves managing accounts payable and receivable and providing strategic financial insights to support business decision-making.

Qualifications

• Strong knowledge of Financial Reporting, Budgeting, and Financial Analysis
• Proficiency in Bookkeeping, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Sage 50/100
• Experience with Tax Compliance, WSIB Audit Processes, and Regulatory Requirements
• Proficient in accounting software and tools, with advanced Excel skills
• Excellent organizational, analytical, and time-management abilities
• Degree in Accounting or Equivalent Work Experience, Finance, or a related field (CPA designation is an asset)
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills for collaboration across teams
• Experience in the restoration or service industry is a plus!
