Purpose of the Role:
The Senior Manager, Private Wealth Associates leads and develops a high-performing team of Wealth Planning Associates (WPAs) and support roles. Acting as both a people leader and strategic enabler, this role manages talent development, resource allocation, performance coaching, recruitment, and operational effectiveness. The Senior Manager serves as a bridge between Associates and Advisors to ensure alignment of talent with business needs.
Core Responsibilities:
Lead a team of 15–20 Associates across different levels (AA, WPI, WPA, SWPA).
Conduct regular 1:1 meetings for career development, performance coaching, and feedback.
Manage performance issues professionally and mediate between Associates and Advisors.
Recruit, onboard, and maintain a pipeline of candidates in collaboration with Talent Acquisition.
Align Associate skillsets with Advisor needs through resource planning and internal mobility.
Ensure staffing levels, succession planning, and transitions are managed effectively.
Collaborate with the Business Management team to implement strategic initiatives.
Participate in strategic planning and implement team-level tactics to support broader business goals.
Standardize development practices and performance feedback loops.
Utilize internal systems (Reflektiv, SharePoint, Salesforce, Dayforce) for team operations and performance management.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
Minimum 5 years leadership experience, preferably in financial services.
Background in Wealth Planning (CFP, CIM, or equivalent) is valued but not required.
Familiarity with financial planning tools and CRM systems (Salesforce).
Experience managing career-focused employees and collaborating with senior stakeholders.
Bachelor’s degree in a related discipline.
Proven track record of results in high-performing, service-oriented roles.
Must be legally eligible to work in Canada.
Compensation & Benefits:
Base salary: CAD $110,000 – $140,000 (commensurate with experience and qualifications)
