Description:

MSC Industrial Supply Co., a leading North American distributor of metalworking and MRO products, is seeking a results-driven Account Executive to join its team in Thunder Bay, Ontario. The successful candidate will focus on both customer acquisition and retention, acting as a strategic partner to clients across various industries.

As an Account Executive, you will nurture relationships with current clients while actively prospecting for new business opportunities. You will work collaboratively across departments to ensure superior customer service and operational efficiency. This includes coordinating cross-selling activities, leveraging MSC’s vast product portfolio, and contributing to special MSC collaboration projects.

You’ll be responsible for penetrating accounts at functional and executive levels, identifying and growing opportunities through territory strategy, and delivering customized product and service solutions. The role includes executing face-to-face presentations, managing sales territories, and developing pricing strategies for non-contract customers.

Strong communication and problem-solving skills are essential, as well as the ability to read technical material relevant to industrial supplies. Proficiency in MS Office tools and comfort with wireless ordering systems is expected. The role requires a valid driver’s license and the ability to frequently lift and transport products up to 60 pounds.
