HUB International Québec Ltd, a leading insurance and risk management firm with over 535 offices across North America, is seeking a highly motivated and client-focused Directeur de comptes (Account Director) specializing in Commercial Insurance to join their Saguenay regional team. This hybrid role is ideal for professionals passionate about developing client relationships and providing tailored insurance solutions that meet business needs.

As a Directeur de comptes, you will be responsible for business development and client retention within the commercial insurance division. The role involves cultivating long-term relationships with clients, understanding their risk profiles, and ensuring their coverage aligns with their business objectives. You will collaborate closely with support teams, including billing, presentation, and marketing staff, to deliver superior service and grow HUB’s business portfolio in the region.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and maintain strong relationships with existing clients to ensure satisfaction and long-term loyalty.

• Generate new business opportunities through networking, referrals, and targeted prospecting methods.

• Conduct client meetings and assessments to identify insurance needs and recommend appropriate solutions.

• Participate in bid submissions and manage the proposal process from preparation to delivery.

• Collaborate with marketing teams to strategize placement and client communication.

• Manage renewal negotiations, ensuring clients receive comprehensive and competitive policy options.

• Oversee claim strategies and support clients in risk management discussions.

• Ensure timely follow-up on documentation and billing matters.

• Monitor accounts receivable and maintain high-quality client records.

• Contribute to public relations and networking events to enhance HUB’s market presence.

Required Qualifications:

• College diploma or equivalent education.

• Minimum of 3 years of professional experience, preferably in insurance or financial services.

• Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.

• Excellent command of French and working knowledge of English.

• Exceptional organizational and prioritization skills with a keen attention to detail.

• Strong analytical mindset with the ability to assess and interpret insurance coverage needs.

• Proven ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and within a collaborative team setting.

Preferred / Additional Skills:

• Knowledge of the EPIC insurance management software (an asset).

• Valid AMF license for commercial damage insurance (an asset).

• Professional insurance designation such as PAA (an asset).

• Experience in a paperless work environment (an asset).

• Flexibility for travel up to 75% of the time.

• Candidates residing near Saguenay may be eligible for 100% remote work.
