Iris Software Inc. is seeking a skilled Ab Initio Developer for an immediate contract opportunity with a direct client in Mississauga, ON (Hybrid). This role is crucial in designing, developing, and implementing ETL solutions to support the organization’s business intelligence and data warehousing requirements. The ideal candidate will be experienced in using the Ab Initio software suite to build scalable data integration solutions, ensure data quality, and optimize processing performance.

The Ab Initio Developer will collaborate closely with business analysts, data architects, and cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality data solutions that align with business needs while ensuring data accuracy and integrity.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and implement ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) processes using Ab Initio tools.

• Translate data requirements into effective technical solutions in collaboration with data architects and business analysts.

• Perform data profiling, cleansing, and transformation to maintain high standards of data quality.

• Optimize workflows and enhance performance for efficient large-scale data processing.

• Develop and maintain metadata repositories and data lineage documentation.

• Create and maintain detailed technical documentation of ETL and data integration processes.

• Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve data-related issues ensuring smooth operations.

• Collaborate with teams to integrate Ab Initio solutions into broader enterprise data architectures.

• Stay updated on Ab Initio software enhancements and industry best practices in ETL and data warehousing.

Skills & Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related discipline.

• Proficiency with Ab Initio software, including GDE (Graphical Development Environment) and Co>Operating System.

• Strong expertise in ETL design, data integration, and data warehousing concepts.

• Solid understanding of database management systems and SQL.

• Strong problem-solving and debugging capabilities.

• Effective communication skills for working with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

• Analytical mindset and attention to detail for ensuring data consistency and accuracy.
